The Old Wool and Grain Store is a museum located in Beachport, a beachside town located just 1-hour north-west of Mount Gambier.
The building in which the museum is located was built in 1879 and was used as a shipping warehouse. Today, the museum is open for all visitors to the south coast where you can learn more about this historic location.

As you stroll through the museum, you will find plenty of agricultural machinery to view, as well as tools, rabbit traps, a whaling display and a featurette of the Buandik people.
There is also a school room set up on site in the 1920’s style, showing the learning environment during this time. You will be able to see writing materials that were used as well as photographs of the era. There is also an area upstairs which depicts accommodation typical of this period including a kitchen, music room and dining room.
