How far to walk around Valley Lake is it? Is there a track that goes around?
Hi Amy,
This is a nature area, so there is no specific track to follow, just be guided by the lake. There is also a kids playground, sporting facilities, BBQs and toilets located here. The distance around the lake is about 2kms, a nice short walk that should take around half an hour.
Best regards,
Jess
Can dogs be brought into the Valley Lake Park?
Hi Alison,
You can take your dog down to the Valley Lakes, but just not into the gated Conservation Centre.
If you would like to run your dog off leash, here is a handy map of the off-leash dog areas in Mount Gambier.
Have a great time at the Valley Lakes!
Kind regards,
Jess
Can you please tell me if the Valley Lake will be open on Xmas day, considering the predicted weather
Hi Kylie,
Valley Lake is open 365 days per year. As for any fire danger, you will need to check the current CFA warnings in the area as this is not something that we can monitor for you in real time.
Best regards,
Jess
