Visitors to Katnook Estate should make sure that they try the Katnook’s wide array of both white and red wines. Katnook Estate is one of Coonawarra’s internationally popular vineyards that exports wines to several international locations.

The vineyard is renowned for both red and white wines, each showcasing a distinctive attribute. The estate’s wine collections include five different categories: Exceptional Coonawarra, Founder’s Block, Contemporary Coonawarra, Classic Coonawarra and Faldo Wines.

Each of these collections includes a variety of wines including some of Katnook Estate’s flagship varieties. Some of the most popular varieties in this series include Prodigy Shiraz and Odyssey Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines are world-class and boast a typical fruit flavour, with a hint of oak. These limited series wines are created after 15 years of ageing. If you explore the Contemporary Coonawarra series, you will come across some high-quality wines, with excellent consistency. These wines are comparatively subtle with fruity flavours.

In contrast, the Katnook Founder’s Block wine collections are chiefly comprised of classic whites; including Sparkling white, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and a Sparkling Shiraz. Similarly, the Classic Coonawarra collections offer a range of intensely flavoured wines; including Chardonnay Brut, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz.
